Pretty Fantastic RUNNING SHOE!
Hey Guys, Initially I was going to grab the new version of the Altra Lone Peak but reviews were a bit lack-luster and when I tried them on at REI, they just felt a little flimsy and not what I'm used to in an Altra shoe. Then, I was going to buy the Alta Timp 1.5 at Roadrunner, especially because they felt right but then the salesperson said to wait for the upcoming TIMP 2s. I'm glad I waited the extra couple of weeks. The new Altra Timp 2 is a fantastic shoe. It's crazy light and feels great to stomp away on. However I'm a little skeptical on how long these will last, especially cuz I hike countless miles on any given multi-weekly trek. Time will tell for sure. I like the feel, the funky colors, and the feather-like weight. I just hope they last. Right now my only gripe is that they get dirty easily and are a bit cumbersome to clean entirely. Other than that, ENWILD was excellent in getting me these not only at the best price on the internet, but having these delivered in no time at all, in less than 2 days and just in time for one of my bigger, badder treks of 2020--isolation treks! Thanks ENWILD!
I love these so much I'll have to get a second pair ;)
Better than the 1.5
The toebox is a bit smaller, and the fit in general is a bit more snug, but my feet feel very secure in these shoes. I use these mostly for trail running, and they feel super comfortable. After a few runs they definitely felt better than my 1.5s. I have narrow feet though, if you have a wider foot, it may not be your jam.
Altra tends to have an issue with durability. I do not not yet know if these shoes will have the same issues, but I will track my mileage and update this review if I find the durability unsatisfactory
Really wanted to like the shoe, but unfortunately the toebox volume was too low for me. Never had that issue before, so take it for what you will. Cushioning felt great however. Luckily Enwild is great, and I was able to exchange for a pair of lone peaks
