Ideal for base camping car camping and everything in between the Black Diamond Apollo is a non-glaring collapsible and rechargeable lantern that packs 225 lumens of power into the size of a soup can. It even serves double-duty as a charger for small electronics!

A QuadPower LED with 225 lumens of brightness (max setting) is enclosed in a frosted globe to provide bright ambient light. A dimming function allows you to adjust brightness to your preference. A strobe mode enables the lantern to serve as a signaling device. You can stand the lantern upright using its foldable legs or hang it by employing the built-in double-hook loops.

The lantern runs on an internal rechargeable lithium ion battery but three AA batteries (not included) can also be used. An integrated power meter displays the charge status or battery level. A USB port (cord included) lets you recharge phones (3.5 hours for a full charge) or other small electronics.

The Black Diamond Apollo lantern is available in your choice of colors.

Bright light, thoughtful design (legs for standing, ring for hanging).I didn't use the USB charge option, but I liked knowing I had it as a backup if needed.

Dislikes

I wish there were a couple levels of brightness, or even a red-light option to keep from blinding myself camping at night.

Very handy compact light. I like that you can dim to your needs. Useful inside as well as outside the tent. Battery life seems to be good, but time will tell. Only used it a few times so far.

- collapsible 3 legged stand - Has ring atop that can be used to hang from the center of a tent; light as well - Adjustable brightness setting; brightens up a tent well. - Chargeable, and can be used as a back up battery to charge other devices.

Worked well on first trip

Although I've only used the lantern for 1 trip, I am impressed. The light is soft but bright enough to read by. The half loop hooks on top are handy for hanging on a tent loop, and the feet are nice to sit the light on a table.
