Delivering maximum warmth for extreme cold, the Big Agnes Echo Park -20 Degree sleeping bag is packed full of warm, loft, weather-resistant synthetic insulation. Its generous dimensions make it ideal for larger campers or anyone who appreciates a little more room to sprawl.
The bag’s FireLine MAX synthetic insulation dries much faster than down and provides warmth even when wet. This is particularly important if you'll be camping in wet weather or humid climates. The durable exterior shell is constructed of nylon ripstop and a cotton/polyester lining enhances internal comfort.
In a traditional sleeping system, the bag lies on top of a sleeping pad. In this configuration, many people find themselves rolling off the pad at night. Plus, the insulation on the bottom of the bag is compressed by the sleeper's weight. Once compressed, the fill loses most of its insulating properties. The Big Agnes System is different, joining the bag and a sleeping pad together (pad sold separately). The pad slides into a sleeve on the bottom side of the bag, supplying insulation to the bottom of the bag while the top 2/3 of the bag is insulated like a traditional sleeping bag. This design provides a secure foundation so you can roll, twist and turn freely during the night without ever rolling off your pad. It also prevents the bag from twisting and engulfing you in an uncomfortable mess.
NOTE: To fully deliver on its -20 degree rating, the bag must be used with a 25”-wide or 30”-wide sleeping pad (sold separately) with an appropriate R-value.
Other performance features found on the bag include baffled construction, internal loops for using a bag liner (sold separately), and exterior hanging loops. A fully insulated hood, a no-draft collar, and insulation behind the bag’s dual zippers bolster thermal efficiency. The dual zippers also allow you to effectively vent the bag or unzip it entirely for use as a comforter.
The Big Agnes Echo Park -20 Degree sleeping bag comes in a single, long length that fits up to 6’ 6”. A storage sack and stuff sack are included.
