When all you need is a simple shelter, the spacious Big Agnes Gold Camp 5 Tarp takes the fuss out of backcountry group excursions. The weather-proof tarp has ample space inside to stand up and sleep up to five people comfortably!

Description

  • Easy setup for reliable shelter without bulk: The tarp has a pyramid design with a square-shaped base so that it's easy to pitch and only requires a single center pole. The front door has a single zipper while the rear awning-style door uses two zippers for more versatility. You can save even more weight by leaving the adjustable pole at home and using the exterior peak loop to suspend the tarp from above! There are adjustable stake out loops and reflective guy-outs to help you adjust the tarp to fit your campsite.
  • Dependable weather protection with vents to manage moisture: The sturdy polyester taffeta fabric has a 1500mm waterproof polyurethane coating to keep you dry. The doors have storm flaps to protect against leaks and low vent technology to manage airflow, as well as toggles to hold them open on nice days. There's also two mesh-lined vents on the peak.
  • Modular livability for varied adventures: With space for up to five people, the tarp has plenty of options to make it work for camping or backpacking in any conditions. The rear door can be suspended or staked out with poles to create an awning. Loops on the interior are compatible with the Gold Camp 5 Mesh Inner (sold separately), making it into a standard double wall tent! The loops can also be used for other accessories like lights or gear lofts. The Gold Camp 5 Footprint (sold separately) adds floor protection when using the tarp by itself or with the mesh insert.

Packing, setup and storage
The Gold Camp 5 Tarp has a trail weight of 4 pounds, 8 ounces and packs down to 20.5" x 8" in its included stuff sack. The center pole is adjustable and can be set at 66" - 80" in height.
