Description

An ultra-lightweight, minimalist option for day hiking, climbing, or skiing, the panel-loading Deuter Speed Lite 24 may weigh just 1 pound, 11 ounces, but it delivers form-fitting carrying comfort.

The combination of a flexible, tensioned Delrin U-frame and a honeycombed, padded backpanel creates a comfortable fit and offers excellent load stabilization. Broad mesh and strategic cutaways in the backpanel enhance ventilation for aerobic activity. An adjustable sternum strap and an adjustable, supportive hipbelt help to enhance both fit and comfort.

The main packbag has panel-loading access. Twin side stretch pockets accommodate water bottles or other gear. Compression straps enable you to cinch down on the packbag to keep contents secure and aid in load stabilization. They also double as a ski carrying system. A stretch front pocket, a small zippered pocket on the top of the pack, an internal valuables pocket, and zippered hipbelt pockets provide additional places to store and organize gear. A lined internal pocket and built-in tube exit point make the pack hydration system compatible (system sold separately).

The Deuter Speed Lite 24 is available in your choice of color options.

Super Comfortable Day Pack!

Likes

I have been using this pack for a few months now and overall I've been really happy with it. The fit and comfort levels of this pack are off the charts good. The shoulder straps are really comfortable and the whole pack just fits really well. I also like the materials they use on the straps and back pad. They really let the pack breathe fairly well. I really like the daisy chain design and water bottle elastic pouches on the sides.

Dislikes

This pack has a good amount of space for anything you might need for a day hike, but if I add a water bladder, fill the top valuables pocket with some larger items, and put my small first aid kit in the front stuff pocket that space disappears rather quickly. I also wish the front stuff pouch came higher up the pack and the top closure of it didn't tie in to the top compression straps.

Great Day Pack

Likes

Took this out 2 days in a row hiking about 5 miles each day from our base camp. I had it pretty full with a jacket, small Crux stove, lunches, snacks and a Full 3-Liter Platypus bladder and it hardly felt like I had anything on my back.

Dislikes

I wish the hip belt pockets were a little bigger to accommodate an larger iPhone.

Very confortable and light enough

Likes

I like to use this for one-day hikes, I´ve only tested it a couple of times but I had a great time with it so far. It fits all my stuff and it has all the bells and whistles that I need without adding too much weight.

Dislikes

The way it holds my trekking poles, it´s the only downside and it might be just a preference but it´s rather difficult to attach and de-attach them

Great Daypack!

Likes

We love the connecting pressure straps. This feature allows you to really carry a ton of gear. You can strap towels, blankets, jackets, helmets, really anything you want to the outside of the backpack. The side pockets are big enough for our 36 ounce yeti rambler bottles and the front shove it pocket is awesome for a quick picnic pack up! My torso length is 19 and 1/2 and this pack is perfect. Hope this helps.

Great, Comfortable, Daypack

Likes

I have used a Deuter Speed Lite 20 as my daypack for years and it has never failed me. But, as the years have passed it has slowly become a baby bag and we have to empty it out every time we head out on a hike. So I finally decided to replace it with this pack dedicated to hiking. Have only taken it on short jaunts recently but will have a whole day of use when we tackle Half Dome in June. I expect no less than my experiences with the Speed Lite 20 and enjoy using this new pack.

Dislikes

Wish the belt strap could be stored/hidden when you don’t need it but other than that, no complaints.
