The ultra-lightweight Exped AirMat HL Duo inflatable sleeping pad allows backpacking couples to comfortably share a single pad. Inflatable construction allows it to pack down small and weigh far less than traditional double-wide pads.
The pad employs baffled air chambers with sturdy I-beam baffles to provide 2.8" of comfortable support. High-performance fabric is airtight and slip proof and offers both UV and abrasion resistance. The pad is uninsulated and its 1.9 R-Value hints at it being designed for summer usage or warm climates.
While the mattress does need to be blown up, the included Exped Schnozzel Pumpbag UL makes the job a cinch and also prevents potentially destructive moisture from being introduced to the interior of the pad during inflation. The pumpbag also serves as a waterproof stuff sack.
Unique flat valve construction aids in inflation and deflation by allowing a high volume of airflow in and out of the pad. A one-way design keeps air from escaping during inflation. Another stand out feature is FlatValve construction. Separate valves for inflation and deflation offer a high volume of airflow in and out of the pad making inflating and deflating the pad fast and easy.
The Exped AirMat HL Duo sleeping pad is available in Medium (72" x 41.3") and Long/Wide (77.6" x 51.2") size options. NOTE: The width is measured at the broadest point (at the shoulders) and the pad does taper at the feet to save on weight and make it more packable.
