Designed for to meet the demands of elite trail athletes, the Hoka One One Men's Tecton X trail running shoe has a grippy outsole and parallel carbon fiber plates to deliver a confident, efficient, and propulsive ride. Lightweight construction allows the shoe to weigh in at an average of just 17 ounces per pair.
The midsole employs Hoka's ProFly X construction for superior stability, cushioning and responsiveness underfoot. Maximum cushioning and a molded EVA sockliner absorb the impact from rocks, roots, and rough trails. Carbon fiber plates and a rockered design provide smooth gait transitions and aid in propulsion as you run.
The streamlined jacquard upper has a protective toe rand and a lacing system that secures and supports the foot without causing hot spots or rubs. On the outsole, sticky Vibram MegaGrip with Litebase gives excellent traction on all types of terrain while allowing your foot to ride closer to the ground for improved responsiveness. The 4mm lugs do well on groomed surfaces while still offering good bite and ground feel in muddier conditions or rocky trails.
