Designed in collaboration with their stable of accomplished trail running athletes Hoka One One built the Women's Torrent shoe to deliver both cushioning and responsive agility. The Torrent manages to accomplish both and do so at a weight of just over 15 ounces per pair!
With midsole volume that exceeds standard running shoes Hokas provide enhanced cushioning and shock absorption. While visually this may look bulky the performance-enhancing cushioning is actually extremely lightweight.
The shoe's recycled mesh upper maximizes breathability while keeping weight to a minimum. Protective overlays at the forefoot and toebox increase stability and add reinforced durability without inhibiting ventilation. The PROFLY midsole strikes a balance between cushioning protection and energy-returning propulsion. A moderate 5mm heel-to-toe drop enhances responsiveness and promotes a natural foot strike.
The sticky rubber outsole utilizes multi-directional lugs to provide reliable traction on a wide variety of surfaces. Hi-abrasion rubber in strategic wear points enhances the outsole's long-term durability.
