LEKI MCT Superlite carbon fiber trekking poles offer premium trail running or thru hiking performance at a weight of just 11.4 ounces per pair! Despite the ultra-lightweight design, the poles still come equipped with tactile, extended-length cork grips and highly-efficient trigger straps.
The lightweight, ergonomic Cross Shark cork grips are far more robust than what is often found on running poles or stripped down hiking poles and they allow the MCT Superlite poles to better serve as your go-to pole regardless of the activity or conditions. The grips also employ LEKI's dynamic Trigger Shark straps to create a connection point between your hands and the poles. This provides ergonomic performance, enhances agility, and effectively transfers power while in use. A security release system enables you to quickly connect and disconnect from the poles to change your grip position. If you prefer, you can remove the straps entirely and use the poles without them.
The "foldable" design of the poles consists of a concealed inner cord that runs through all four carbon shaft sections. After each shaft section is aligned, an internal push button lock tensions and locks the poles securely in place. Simply pull on the aligned sections until you hear the confirming "click" that the sections are locked securely in place. When you are ready to collapse the poles, repeat that quick step to disengage the lock and fold up your poles. This innovative design saves weight and reduces packed size to just 14.56".
NOTE: While the poles do offer foldable collapsibility, they are not height-adjustable. To accommodate varying heights and preferences, the poles are available in fixed length options in 5 cm increments ranging from 105 cm (41.33") all the way up to 130 cm (51.2") in length.
The poles use low-profile trail running tips. Imbedded carbide tips provide strength and grip while minimal baskets reduce the risk of the poles getting caught between rocks or tree roots on the trail.
LEKI MCT Superlite trekking poles are sold in pairs.
