The Marmot Catalyst 2P 3-season tent provides up to two backpackers with a roomy interior, breathability, ease of set-up, and a protective footprint, all at an affordable price. Featuring an awning-style opening on the front vestibule, the door or entire side of the rainfly can be rolled up on clear nights for enhanced ventilation or just to enjoy the view.
Easily accessed on either side by two D-shaped doors, the tent has 34.4 square feet of interior space. Front and rear vestibules offer a combined 14.32 square feet of additional weather-protected storage space. While the vestibules are similar in size, the front one is slightly larger and has an awning-style opening. Tie backs on the tent make it easy to roll up the door and front of the vestibule if you'd like to take in the view. Interior pockets provide places to store gear to free up floor space and a lamp shade pocket meant to hold a headlamp (not included) can provide ambient interior lighting.
Velocity HD aluminum poles provide the Catalyst 2P with support and freestanding structure. Integrated clips and a pitch-enhancing sleeve for the single brow pole allow the body of the tent to attach quickly, easily, and securely to the poles. The freestanding design enables you to set up the tent and then move it around your chosen campsite to find the optimal rock-and-root-free position.
Mesh panels allow air to circulate and combat condensation while the weatherproof floor and full coverage rainfly combine to protect the interior of the tent from the elements. Taped seam construction throughout the tent bolsters weather protection.
A custom-fit footprint is included to further protect the floor of the Marmot Catalyst 2P backpacking tent from sharp objects, mud, and ground water.
