The Marmot Women’s Angel Fire 25 Degree sleeping bag is built for cool-to-mild weather backpacking and camping. It delivers reliable down-insulated performance and its relaxed mummy cut strikes a balance between weight, comfort, and thermal efficiency.
Marmot accounts for the anatomical differences between male and female campers and hikers when constructing gender-specific sleeping bags. Increased insulation in key areas better addresses those areas where women most often experience heat loss. A tapered cut provides a narrower fit at the shoulders and a wider flare at the hips to ensure a comfortable fit and maximum thermal efficiency. The shorter lengths of Marmot's women's bags help to avoid cold spots and make certain that your body isn't working unnecessarily to heat uninhabited areas of the bag.
The bag is insulated with 650+ fill down. Fill power measures the loft, or "fluffiness," of down insulation and Marmot goes to great lengths to guarantee the 650+ certification with a battery of in-house and external verifications. Renowned for their efficiency in retaining heat and compressible properties, the feathers and fibers of down have an incredibly soft, comfortable feel and, despite advances in synthetic materials, continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. The one weakness of down insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet, but Marmot combats this by applying a Down Defender water repellent treatment that allows the down to stay dry longer, maintain loft, and dry faster than untreated down. Most importantly, it retains its ability to keep you warm even if damp or wet. Nylon ripstop exterior fabrics with a DWR treatment further protect the insulation.
Eliminating cold spots and providing comfort, sewn-through baffles ensure that insulation is evenly distributed throughout the bag. Ground-level side seams make it difficult for body heat to escape through the zipper and a draft tube seals cold air out of the bag along the zipper. An ergonomic baffled hood helps to reduce heat loss and a down filled collar with drawcord adjustability helps to keep cold air from entering through the top of the bag. An integrated stash pocket provides a handy storage option for keys, lip balm and other small items. Zipper guards help to avoid irritating and damaging snags and two-way sliding zippers allow venting on warmer nights. A short-length of zipper on the opposite side as the full-length entry zip allows you to fold down the face of the bag for increased ventilation and ease of entry. An anatomically-shaped footbox is wider at the toes and narrower at the heels, providing a more natural fit while enhancing warmth and comfort.
The Marmot Women’s Angel Fire 25 Degree sleeping bag is available in your choice of Regular (fits 5' 6") and Long (5' 10") lengths and zipper side options. A stuff sack and storage sack are included.
