With a roomy interior and a unique fold-over design that allows it to easily convert from a semi-rectangular bag to an oversized quilt or blanket, the Marmot Yolla Bolly 30 Degree is a plush, versatile option for warm-weather camping.
The bag is insulated with certified 650+ fill power goose down. Fill power measures the loft or "fluffiness" of down insulation and Marmot goes to great lengths to guarantee certification with a battery of in-house and external verifications. Renowned for their efficiency in retaining heat and compressible properties, down fibers have an incredibly soft, comfortable feel and, despite advances in synthetic materials, continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. The one traditional weakness of down insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet. Not so on the Yolla Bolly, which is protected with Marmot's Down Defender water-repellent treatment that allows the down to stay drier longer than untreated down in damp conditions. It also maintains significantly more loft and dries faster than untreated down. Nylon mini ripstop shell fabric with a DWR coating helps to further protect the insulation.
The bag's roomy semi-rectangular cut balances thermal-efficiency with having adequate room for you to comfortably move around in the night. Integrated two-way zippers let you fold down the front of the bag or throw it open entirely for use as a quilt or blanket. Other features include an insulated hood with soft interior fabric, silicone print on the back to reduce slipping on a sleeping pad during the night, an internal stash pocket, and an included stuff sack.
The Marmot Yolla Bolly 30 Degree sleeping bag is available in Short (fits up to 5' 6"), Regular (fits up to 6' 0"), and Long (fits up to 6' 6") lengths.
