The Mountain Hardwear Aspect 3 tent effectively balances weight, durability, and livability. Two doors, dual vestibules, and a star-gazing canopy make the two-person tent ideal for 3-season backpacking or camping.
Measuring 50" x 88", the tent has a 29.3 square foot interior that provides ample room for up to 2. Its 41" peak height provides headroom for backpackers or campers to sit up comfortably. Vestibules in front of each door offer a combined 9.27 square feet of weather-protected external storage space for packs, boots, and other gear. Four interior mesh pockets provide places to safely stow phones, headlamps, and other small items.
By employing prebends in its hubbed DAC Featherlight NFL aluminum pole system, the tent's architecture increases the verticality of the sidewalls and creates corresponding extra space, so inhabitants enjoy better elbow room and simply feel less cramped. The poles also give the tent freestanding structure though stakes are included to ensure a taut pitch.
The canopy of the tent is primarily nylon mesh which provides excellent ventilation to cut down on condensation. This also allows you to stargaze from inside the tent when weather and skies cooperate. If weather takes a turn you can easily roll down the rainfly to batten the hatches. The fly is constructed of 20D Sil/Sil nylon ripstop with a 120mm coating and the floor is a highly durable 40D nylon ripstop with a 1500mm coating to ensure total weather protection. All seams are tape sealed. The custom-fit Mountain Hardwear Aspect 2 Footprint (sold separately) can be used to further protect the floor of the tent from sharp objects, mud, and ground water.
