Ready to handle gear-intensive adventures and extended travel, the Mountainsmith Cona 65 backpack offers dedicated waterproof storage, an expandable roll-top opening, and a capable suspension system that's adjustable for different torso lengths. A tuck-away exterior pocket and compression straps create a streamlined profile for easy transit through airports and train stations.
The suspension system is comfortable and capable for loads up to 60 pounds! A molded EVA foam back panel and lumbar pads create a breezeway on your back to maximize airflow. The back panel easily adjusts to fit torso lengths ranging from 16"-24". The harness uses plush dual density EVA foam for cushioning and the hipbelt cups your hips to provide load carrying comfort.
A roll-top opening provides entry into the main compartment of the pack. This area is waterproof to protect electronics or other items you want protected from storms and passing showers. The roll-top design allows for extra gear storage depending on your hiking needs. A large U-shaped zipper on the front offers easy panel access, and there are two large internal stretch mesh zippered pockets for organizing gear. The pack is equipped with an internal compression system to help keep the weight stabilized, though it is removeable if not needed.
Unique features include the deployable front stretch pocket that provides additional external storage and 5 tuck-away compression straps. Tool loops for trekking poles or an ice axe also tuck away when not in use. You can also stash gear in two side stretch pockets, two zippered hipbelt pockets, and a small zippered top pocket.
