Providing an ambient candle-like flicker and glow, the MPOWERD Luci Candle LED solar-powered lantern is lightweight (2.3 ounces) and super-packable. The frosted housing is completely inflatable, allowing the lantern to collapse down to a 1.25” x 4” disk that takes up little to no space in your pack.

The amber-colored LED is powered by a 350 mAh Lithium-Ion battery that charges in 8 hours of direct sunlight to its integrated high-efficiency solar panel. You can chose between candle flicker, dim, and bright settings. When inflated, the lantern rests sturdily on its base and an integrated strap allows you easily carry the lantern or hang it for overhead lighting.

This has to be one of my all-time favorite camping accessories. I strongly favor the warm glow of a candle (or in this case amber light) over the harsh white lights of most camping lanterns. The flicker setting really mimics candlelight, and the frosted shell further softens the glow. This brings a soft, cozy ambience to any tent or campsite, and can elevate a simple dehydrated meal to an elegant candlelit dinner. I love that they are waterproof, so wet weather can’t impede the ‘flame’, and the solar rechargeable battery keeps it ultralight and environmentally friendly. They make awesome gifts, too!
