Offering gravity filtration at camp, a small filter for the trail, and a water storage bag, the Trail Base Water Filter Kit 4L kit provides incredible 3-in-1 flexibility.

This system functions as a gravity filter at your base camp. Fill the clearly-marked ‘dirty water’ bag, hang it from a branch, and let the untreated travel through the integrated hollow-fiber filter into the large 4-liter ‘clean water’ bag at a rate of 1 liter per minute. The filter is effective against bacteria, protozoa, and particulates. The replaceable filter can produce up to 1500 liters of drinkable water depending on initial water quality.

When you’re ready to hit the trail, you can use the quick-connect coupler to remove the small filter unit from the rest of the system. Carry that during your hike. When you return to camp, connect the filter to the bags and start the gravity-based filtering again.
