Description

A versatile and feature-rich option for backpacking or camping, the NEMO Dagger 2P effectively balances weight, performance, and roominess. Dual doors and vestibules and a voluminous interior maximize livability.

Measuring 90” x 50”, the tent has over 31 square feet of floor area and offers a peak height of nearly 42”. Two large side-entry doors create convenient access for two. The canopy is 15D polyurethane-coated ripstop nylon and No-See-Um mesh to provide durability, bug protection and ventilation. The tent’s two vestibules offer a combined 23 square feet of exterior space to stow gear.

A hubbed-pole design creates a unique easy-set-up architecture. An additional ridge pole and pre-bent poles give the sidewalls excellent verticality which frees up elbow room inside the tent. This construction also better maintains overhead height so that you have headroom throughout the tent instead of just in the very center. The poles and webbing are color-coded for easy setup.

A raised waterproof bathtub-style 30D polyurethane-coated Sil ripstop nylon floor enhances performance in poor weather and also cuts down on wear-and-tear. Fully seam taped construction and a 15D polyurethane-coated ripstop nylon rainfly further bolster weather protection. A custom-fit footprint (sold separately) can be used to offer additional protection against standing water rocks and roots.

This tent features a Divvy Sack. This is a two-stage stuff sack designed to make it easier for multiple backpackers to share the load. Guyout cord, stakes, and a repair kit are also included.

Fantastic model!

Likes

Nice, very roomy and lightweight, great value and great space. Smartly designed. The tent is spacious enough for one or two people with gear being stored in the vestibules. Very easy to set up.

Dislikes

for this tent you need the original footprint

My first Tent!!! Love it

Likes

This is my first tent after I compare a lot with other brands. It’s very lightweight and still have plenty of room for 2 person. Very easy to setup! Love it!

Great Tent!

Likes

I was looking for a lightweight tent with plenty of extra room for my solo trips. We have a winner! It could be packed down smaller if you separate the poles from the tent, I like that! The mesh spacing of the tent is so tight that even the breeze has trouble getting through. It was extremely windy and although I did feel the breeze, the dirt, dust and POLLEN did not accumulate in the tent, even with both fly doors open all night...awesome! (the outside was filthy, that's how I know). That being said, the ventilation was perfect. I have yet to try it in the rain though. Because of the mesh weave being so tight, it is warmer than my other tents, great for spring and fall...we'll see about summer! The tent fabric is very lightweight but is also very strong! Overall, I am very pleased with this set up. I do recommend some sort of footprint for longevity.

Dislikes

I'm not a huge lover of the "privacy mesh" sides though I can still see out and did catch glimpses of the stars. Not a total dealbreaker considering the tent as a whole is solid. I just wish Nemo would give the consumer the option of privacy mesh vs not.

Great all purpose tent

Likes

Love the spaciousness and light weight. This tent can function as a one or a true two person tent. Plenty of headroom whether you are sitting up and breathing room when your sleeping. I preferred this tent over the smaller one person or "two" person ultralight tents. Sets up is a breeze and is very sturdy.

Such a great purchase for backpacking!

Likes

I researched tents for a couple of months and had it narrowed down to the Dagger 2P and another tent. Ultimately, this was the win for me. I watched several videos on setup/functionality (check out Enwild's review on Youtube) and that helped me finalize my decision. This is a comfortable 2P UL tent, and would make for a spacious 1P tent. Weight is really reasonable (even when you add the footprint into the mix.) Large vestibules on both sides, and 2 doors is a must if you have 2 people (it also helps create a nice cross breeze.) Setup is very intuitive and easy. It took me 5 minutes total, and half of that was me just fidgeting/repositioning the fly and stakes. Bathtub was a great height; sitting inside there was plenty of head space; the corner pockets and headlamp pockets are amazing; given the breath-ability of the tent, I never got too cold (though that is also dependent on where/when you camp.) I highly recommend this tent to anyone looking for an UL. This would also be great for car camping for a quick setup!

Dislikes

My only dislike is that most UL tents sell the footprint separately. But that is not specific to Enwild or Nemo - It is the norm with UL tents across the board.

Dislikes

Fantastic tent - but I opted for bigger size

Likes

This tent is exceptional but after a trial set up I opted to return it for the 3P tent. The width of the tent did not accommodate a duo sleeping pad I had and wanted to use with my partner. The 2 of us love the Dagger 3P and I wrote a glowing review for that on that page. I love the NEMO Dagger.

Dislikes

Opted for the 3P NEMO Dagger for two hikers and love it.

Easy to set up, roomy, with a cool stuff sack

Likes

1. This tent is very easy to set up with the color-coded corners that help. Tent, fly and footprint all snap easily together. 2. This is a true 2p tent that's still light enough for backpacking. I like that it's not tapered. 3. I like that the stuff sack has a 2nd draw string to for easier compression if the poles are carried by someone else.

Dislikes

Exactly what I wanted. The tent came complete and doesn't show any signs of damage. Shipping was quick. Tent is very easy to set up (even the first time). On my scale the tent weighed out at a total of 59.35 oz.

Likes

It doesn't have a tapered end and is a complete rectangle. It is a full 90 inches long to help prevent touching the end walls while asleep. I love the color scheme and the divide and conquer sack.

Dislikes

I would have liked it to come with 2 extra stakes to guy out the rain fly at the end walls. Bought extra stakes for this.

Solid Tent- from a newer backpacker

Likes

As I am new to backpacking I bought light. Very expensive but when opened I got excited. It was of highest quality and almost help setup itself. It stands higher than competitors and eases buyer regret that comes with pricey purchase. Each aspect advertised met expectations and believe it will make me happy.

Dislikes

Footprint is needed as I don't trust that floor and ultralight is terrifying to put hands on. Go to 3P if you need space to move around especially if using air like mats. Does not have enough stakes to tie out sides of tent but provided stakes are high quality. Price seems like I should get more but it does compete very well with the other high end tents.
