Definitely get this for use with your Nemo Hornet tent. I've always used footprints with my UL tents and it really helps with keeping the tent floor dry and free of abrasions. It's a lot cheaper to replace the footprint than replace the tent! That being said, I've never had any issues with my Nemo Footprint for my 2017 and this one feels a bit more durable than the previous one I had. Definitely get this!

Must need

A must need for Nemo Hornet Elite. It worths the 5 oz added weight to the tent since the tent is very lightweight and using thinner materials.
Dislikes
The plastic D-ring at footprint tabs and the way they attach to the tent seem weak. Footprint would just lay on the ground loosely when hook up with the tent.

Does the job

This is really a required accessory for such a lightweight tent. It's sturdier than poly if you don't mind the extra ounces. It's also a perfect fit - I mention that because I've read other reviews that say it's too small.
Dislikes
The attachment at the head end is a little odd, but it works.

Serves the purpose

Light and seems to be rather durable. It does what is intended of it.
Dislikes
The means by which it is attached to the stake out points of the tent seem hard to use, or not designed that well. Could be my own user error. For the price and weight I have been using a polycryo sheet instead. Although the groundsheet would offer better protection.

What you would expect

Does exactly what you would think. Lightweight, compactable, seam taped. Cool line lock feature on the foot side of the footprint that makes it easier to stake everything down together.

Tent necessity
Likes
With tent materials surpassing the 'super-ultralight' status, footprints really are becoming a necessity for providing additional protection to your tent base from the unpredictable ground conditions encountered while backpacking. Happily sacrificing a fraction of space and weight to prolong the life of my tent!
