Description

Catering to female adventurers who are looking for lightweight, value-packed versatility, the Osprey Fairview 40 Women’s pack offers travel-friendly features in a trek-worthy backpack. The pack delivers load-carrying capability and ample storage capacity (2300+ cubic inches) in a carry-on approved size (confirm with your airline provider) of 21” x 14” x 9”.

Constantly striving to enhance comfort and performance, Osprey has equipped the pack with a fully-featured women’s-specific suspension system. In expectation of comfortably carrying loads of up to 40 pounds, the pack employs a LightWire frame and a spacer mesh backpanel to grant strength, stability and load transfer. Further enhancing fit, the padded hipbelt utilizes an ErgoPull closure that draws tension along the top and the bottom of the belt. A sliding sternum strap and load-lifter straps allow you to fine-tune fit with on-the-go adjustments. An additional strap is included for over-the-shoulder carry. The pack comes in two sizes to ensure a proper fit. The Xsmall/Small size accommodates torsos ranging from 13”-17" in length while a Small/Medium size fits 16”-20” length torsos.. Whether loading the pack in an overhead compartment or checking it at the airport or the train station, you can safely tuck the harness and hipbelt behind an integrated zippered security panel to ensure that your pack stows safely.

The main packbag is accessed by a wide-opening front panel zipper. A large, zippered mesh pocket on the inside of the front panel is ideal for separating and organizing clothes and gear. Internal compression straps allow you to safely secure contents. Stretch-woven front pockets keep water bottles and other gear close at hand and an internal sleeve protectively stows a laptop or tablet.

The Osprey Fairview 40 Women’s convertible travel pack/carry-on is available in your choice of color and size options.

  • Large panel zip access to main compartment
  • Lockable sliders on main compartment zipper
  • Dual front compression straps
  • Dual front mesh pockets

  • Stowaway backpanel, harness and hipbelt with zippered rear flap for protection

Finally found the right travel pack!

Likes

This packs fits well! I also tried the Deuter Transit 40 and Gregory Tribute 40. Neither one fit me. For my needs, the Osprey Fairview 40 is a much better design for a pack that I plan to use for hiking inn to inn in Portugal.

Dislikes

Would prefer that the mesh pockets not be underneath the compression straps, but that's a minor issue.

Great pack for travel

Likes

High quality backpack. Used it for a recent trip and it was perfect. No issues with TSA. As someone who lives in a city, it is amazing not hauling around rolling luggage.

Dislikes

None so far

Great Quality and Price

Likes

I love that I could get this product at a discounted price. The Osprey brand can be expensive but it is very well made. I am extremely pleased with the amount of room in this bag! We aren't bringing a checked bag with us for our 11 day adventure in Iceland and this is the perfect bag to bring as a carry on as well as my only bag as we travel around the country. It has lots of compartments in it for small thing as well as one big compartment.

Dislikes

It is like .5 cm bigger than the airline allows as a carry-on so we are hoping they don't care when we board!

Perfect for a petite person

Likes

I took this on a 1 week vacation and it had plenty of room all of my stuff including a laptop and two pairs of shoes. I like the simple open design of the main compartment. I use eagle creek packing cubes to keep my things organized. This trip was a test run for a much longer trip in April.

Dislikes

It's not really a dislike, but I agree with the reviews that I've read that the laptop sleeve isn't in the best spot for weight distribution. But, I'm usually not going to take my laptop on vacation!

Best Travel Backpack

Likes

I like that this backpack opens like a suitcase. I am able to get to the things I need without rummaging through everything. I also like the compression straps. This comes in handy when you may have brought too many items with you.

Dislikes

I wish the water bottle carriers were deeper.
