Much easier to clean than my other water bladders. The flow is excellent. I used it quite hard recently. It held up well to the rigors

Best bladder I’ve owned

I really like this bladder over my old ones. The wide mouth makes it really easy to fill with water and the detachable hose makes it even easier to refill when on the trail.

high quality water bladder

This water bladder is very well made by the thick seams and fits great in my Aether 85 backpack.

the valve is kind of hard to open, however, once you do it a few times it loosens up.

Stepped on this bladder on accident when full of water, didn't burst or damage it at all.

Does not come with a cap

Good solid bladder

Large opening makes filling, pouring out into cook pot or cleaning easy. This model has the quick disconnect so you can fill the bladder off a water filter pump without removing from your pack. The stiff plastic backer makes it easier to stuff down inside a loaded pack. I haven't had any issues with leaking, there is a definitive spot where the top should fold over to prevent leaks. Twist on/off bite valve is a nice touch.

Would only ever use Osprey Reservoirs

The folding top is amazing, allows for quick and easy filling and dumping of water at the end of a trek. I bought one of these over a year ago for a trek through the Grand Canyon and it has held up great so far. Picked up a second one for my day pack. Ospreys quality is really top notch
Dislikes
I wish it had a removable bite valve cover included. I have not had any issues with leaking but I'm always careful to make sure nothing is resting on top of the valve if my packs sitting in the car or something.

Reservoir

My wife and I both have Osprey packs. I have old school canteens, which I love. She bought this reservoir and we went on a 6 mile training hike. I was fussing with my canteens and asking her to grab them for me so I wouldn't have to take my pack off. I was breathing heavy and just watching her lightly sip from her magnet held bladder line, whenever she wanted. I was sold right then. Bought my own the following payday.

No leaks, no fuss

Hard back makes it easier to shove down the back of a full pack. Let’s face it, nothing is perfect, but this helps a lot. I like the wide mouth too for filling; no fussing with sideways screw caps. I’ve taken it on about five or six day hikes now and it’s never leaked.

Love the top opening for cleaning purpose. The plastic looks high quality and I expect good reliability from years to come.

A bit heavier than I like.

Just what I wanted

Great. Very easy to use, easy to clean. The folding top with slider is so convenient. I read reviews before purchasing and was worried about the loop for attaching it to your pack, but it seems that any problems that existed before have been resolved - works on my pack because it has a snap buckle I can put through the loop (Osprey Stratos 24)

Has a plasticky taste at first, but went away by following ospreys instruction (lemon juice with water then freeze).
