The Osprey Stratos 34 day pack combines carrying comfort ventilation and organizational features to deliver lightweight technical performance for backcountry adventures.

Description

The Osprey Stratos 34 day pack combines carrying comfort ventilation and organizational features to deliver lightweight technical performance for backcountry adventures.

Employing Osprey's Airspeed Suspension the pack’s tensioned mesh back panel provides flexible support and breathability to combat heat build-up between your back and the pack body. Both the hipbelt and harness straps are padded with die-cut foam and covered in mesh to enhance comfort and optimize fit. Accommodating hikers of varying size the Stratos 34 is available in Small/Medium (fits torso lengths ranging from 16”-20”) and Medium/Large (19”-23”) size options. Adjustability in the harness load-lifter straps and sternum strap enhance fit.

The storage capacity of the Small/Medium pack is 1953 cubic inches and the Medium/Large has a 2075 cubic inch capacity. Two zippered entries allow access to the main compartment. Additionally a lower compartment serves as a dedicated spot for stowing your sleeping bag or other clothes and gear. There are also zippered pockets on the front and the top of the pack that provide organizational options. Zippered hipbelt pockets keep small gear and trail essentials close at hand.

Other features include a single Stow-on-the-Go trekking pole attachment on the shoulder strap a single ice axe attachment with a stowable bungee tie-off and an integrated rain cover. A lined internal sleeve and drinking tube pass-throughs make the pack hydration compatible (hydration system sold separately).

Great fit and organization of pockets.

Likes

My first hike with this pack was a 7.5 mile under hot and humid conditions. Really like the back panel, as you still sweat the pack is not so against you, definitely an improvement from my older day pack. Love the pockets, I use the sleeping bag compartment for all my hiking essentials. The top two pockets for snacks, keys and quick to grab items. The large compartment for rain jacket, fleece. Love the zipper pulls.

Dislikes

None so far, need to make more adjustments on the shoulder straps as I had minimal discomfort at the end of a hike.

Comfortable pack, not too large

Likes

Comfortable pack, not too large. External straps I use for seat pad. Carries well.

Dislikes

Fixed buckle for upper compression strap. It just makes it difficult to use. Small hip belt pockets

I love Using This Pack

Likes

It's comfortable, packs a lot for a daypack and all the different compartments make access to my stuff easy.

Dislikes

I wish I could reach my water bottles without asking my wife to grab them. But in all honesty, I'm overweight, so it may be easier for others.
