Description

Built with endurance mountain bikers top of mind, the Osprey Syncro 20 pack offers a ton of storage space, a comfortable, stable ride, built-in hydration, and smart, streamlined organizational features. It’s construction nicely balances weight and durability.

The pack’s Airspeed suspension system utilizes a peripheral Lightwire frame and a tensioned backpanel to create ventilating space with minimized contact points while still ensuring that your load stays fully stabilized. A yoke-like harness helps the pack ride close to the body while taking weight off your shoulders. An Airmesh-wrapped hipbelt and an adjustable sternum strap aid in stabilization and fit.

The pack has an interior volume of over 1200 cubic inches. That space contains a hydration sleeve holding an included Hydraulics LT 2.5-liter reservoir with a drinking hose and bite valve with a magnetic contact point that connect with an attachment point on the sternum strap buckle. A large front stretch pocket keeps discarded layers and other items close at hand. A scratch-free, heat-embossed zippered slash pocket safely stows electronics or sunglasses, stretch mesh side pockets are ideal for water bottles (not included), and stretch mesh zippered hipbelt pockets keep smaller essentials at the ready.

The pack incorporates other features that cater specifically to mountain bikers. These include a a zippered tool organization pocket, a LidLock helmet carry attachment system, a blinker light attachment point, and an integrated high-visibility raincover.

The Osprey Syncro 20 hydration pack is available in your choice of colors.

Great Hiking Pack

Likes

Even though the Osprey Syncro is technically a 'biking' pack, I use it primarily for hiking. I am very picky about my gear, and I tried several other brands and models before settling on the Osprey Syncro 20. The Syncro 20 has a great suspension system that keeps it stable and comfortable on my back while providing good ventilation. I also really like the design of this pack, because it seems more 'streamlined' than most hiking packs this size. It has a thinner profile, the mesh pockets on the outside do not 'sag' like a lot of other packs, and there are not a bunch of unnecessary loops and attachments that can hang loose and get caught on things. This gives the pack a very clean look. Despite being streamlined and simple, Osprey added a lot of very practical features to this pack that I love: The front stash-pocket on the outside is great for securing a rain jacket, gloves, or hat. The compression straps on the sides are great and can also be used to secure trekking poles. One of the biggest advantages to this pack over others is the zippered organizational pockets inside one of the two main storage compartments. Although they are probably meant for bike tools, these organizational pockets work great for organizing small gear such as hand wipes, energy bars, medicine, power-banks, etc... Overall, I love this pack, and it is very versatile. Although it is best suited for hiking and/or mountain biking, it could also be used for daily commuting and travel (it is a good carry-on size that fits under an airline seat). I absolutely recommend it!
