Ideal for day hiking adventure racing and other active pursuits the Osprey Talon 22 pack is sleek and functional. Despite weighing just over a pound and a half the pack is capable of comfortably carrying loads of up to 20 pounds.

The AirScape backpanel lends the pack flexible support and maximum breathability for combatting heat build-up between your back and the pack body. The adjustable Biostretch hipbelt and harness are padded with die-cut foam and covered in mesh to keep weight to a minimum. Together they enhance comfort and optimize fit. Further enhancing fit the hipbelt utilizes an ErgoPull closure that draws tension along the top and the bottom of the belt. Accommodating hikers of varying size the pack is available in Small/Medium (fits torso lengths ranging from 16”-20”) and Medium/Large (19”-23”) size options.

The storage capacity of the Small/Medium pack is 1220 cubic inches and the Medium/Large has a 1343 cubic inch capacity. In addition to the main panel-loading compartment a large front stretch shove-it pocket side stretch woven pockets and a small zippered top pocket offer organizational options. Large zippered pockets on the hipbelt offer quick and easy access to smaller gear and trail essentials.

Other features include a single Stow-on-the-Go trekking pole attachment on the shoulder strap a single ice tool attachment with a bungee tie-off and an integrated LidLock clip that securely stows a helmet. A lined exterior compartment makes the pack hydration compatible (hydration system sold separately) and makes it possible to refill your reservoir without having to access the interior of the pack.

The Osprey Talon 22 day pack is available in your choice of size and color options.

Almost Perfect

Comfortable to wear, can carry all my items

Wish there was more than one section in the main backpack

Fits well, supportive, good build

Great organization, very comfortable and lots of little packs. The color is also "good enough" for a lady (in my wife's opinion), so we can share the pack when needed.

I got the S/M size to share the pack with my wife, and it fits both of us well in the adjustment range; however, when it's closer to the M end of the S/M range, the Velcro panel is pulled so far out that it's quite unsightly. To the point that I'm not sure I'll even use the pack. Great pack otherwise, but they could have done much better in the execution of the adjustment range.

Great Day Pack

Lightweight and comfortable even when fully loaded.

No rain cover included.

Love this Day Pack

I like how the back is designed to allow air flow and not rest on my shoulders. This pack was originally purchased as a gift to my son but I have borrowed it so many times I had to purchase another one for him.

Maybe the zip front pouches could be a little bigger now that phones are getting larger.

Great Day Pack

The pack is comfortable with spongy straps and the air ventilation back. I appreciate the hip belt pockets, mesh outside pocket, bottle carriers with in /out compression strapping, and the padded top pocket. The hydration storage is also clever and doesn't get in the way or add weight when not in use. Decent weight and nice looking as well.

If I could change up a few things: #1 - include a rain cover! #2 the hip belt pockets are very small, they should be big enough for at least a medium sized phone. #3 I'd also like some webbing on the shoulder straps.

Very comfortable

Very comfortable pack! Fits nicely and carries well.

Would prefer the pockets on the waste belt be a little larger. Too small to hold my phone. Lacks a rain cover.

Good Pack

I bought this based off of the awards it has received over the past few years. Outdoor Gear Lab had rated it as their #1 daypack last year, and so I decided to purchase it and try it out. I had tried out the Osprey Stratos series as well as the Kelty Zyp, and both of those were amazing. This pack is lighter than those two, but the ventilation that is benefited from longer hikes is unbeatable with those heavier packs. I love that this pack has an exterior reservoir sleeve. This is just the most brilliant feature and makes it so easy to use. I love that the pack feels like it molds to my back, but it is definitely not as ventilated as I'm accustomed to. Osprey's All Mighty Guarantee is a huge perk -- I've taken advantage of this before, and this company really stands behind their products no matter when they were made. Overall, this is a good, light little daypack.

The pack feels like it would function better without the waist belt. When I have it synched up where I feel it is most comfortable on my shoulders and back, the waist belt then wraps around the upper end of my stomach (and I have the M/L size).

Great light weight pack

Great that it’s light, breathable, and hugs your body when riding your bike. It’s a great size for commuting around town

Great pack.

Very comfortable and a good size for day hiking in the adirondacks. Love that the hydration bladder sleeve is between the back panel and storage part so it doesnt take up any room in the actual bag. I'm 6'0 170lbs with a 34" waist and the M/L fits perfectly. It has plenty of adjustability on the back panel.

Would be nice if the waist pockets were a little closer together, but not a big deal.
