A highly innovative jacket that blurs the lines between hardshell and softshell the Outdoor Research Men's Interstellar Jacket offers reliable waterproof protection excellent air-permeability and maximum breathability at a weight of just 11.6 ounces!

The jacket's ground-breaking AscentShell 3-layer fabrication consists of 20D nylon ripstop with mechanical stretch and a 12D polyester lining. All seams are taped and an internal front stormflap and laminated construction bolster waterproof protection. An adjustable helmet-compatible hood has an adjustable wire brim. Stretch underarm panels elastic cuffs with hook/loop closures and an elastic drawcord hem further ensure an appropriate fit.

Other features include highly water-resistant zippers dual zippered front pockets a zippered chest pocket and an integrated carabiner loop and key clip. The left-hand pocket also doubles as a stuff sack for the jacket.

Available in an array of size and color options the Outdoor Research Men's Interstellar Jacket has a trim fit that moves with you and allows you to wear baselayers and low-profile midlayers beneath it.

Fit and comfort are fantastic. Liner material isn't like a normal rain jackets. Haven't worked hard enough in it yet to know how it will feel next to skin when sweating but seems like it wont feel clammy like normal waterproof items. Movement in it is fantastic. Must be the underarm panels that allow for movement in all directions without jacket moving around much.
