The pack's zippered, low-profile saddlebags are designed to withstand the rigors of backcountry activity provide ample storage space and keep the load comfortably balanced. A weight-forward design makes certain that the load is properly situated to avoid hampering your dog's natural gait and a contoured athletic cut provides your dog with a close-fitting performance fit. The saddlebags nestle atop a flexible, perforated foam chassis and a "flopper stopper" design helps to keep them stabilized. All materials that contact your dog's body are soft and padded to ensure comfort and eliminate chafing. The external fabrics are highly-abrasion resistant and reflective trim adds visibility and makes the pack (and your dog) easy to spot at night. Large pockets on each saddlebag can effectively stow food bowls, first aid supplies, and other gear. Smaller zippered pockets on the top of each saddlebag are perfect for stashing treats or pick-up bags. Additional pockets on the outside of each saddlebag offer further storage space and house innovative compression straps that allow you to easily adjust and secure contents ensuring optimal weight distribution and maneuverability.
Eliminating the need for extraneous straps, a harness provides superior fit, load-carrying stability, and support. Designed to accommodate varying breeds, the harness employs a 5-point adjustment system. Easy-release buckles make the harness convenient to take on and off and a "sheltered" design protects the buckles from wear and tear while keeping the buckles from pressing directly against your dog's body. Fleece lining and foam padding on the chest and belly straps further enhance comfort and fit. The pack's saddlebags can actually be quickly and easily disconnected entirely from the harness making it easier to make fitting adjustments protect the contents of the saddlebags during water crossings and allow your dog to better enjoy rest stops without ever having to remove the harness. An integrated handle on the top of the pack allows you to easily carry it when your dog isn't wearing it and serves as an assistance handle when your dog needs a helping hand for on-trail obstacles. Water-resistant zippers ensure that the contents of the saddlebags remain dry and secure.
Another standout feature on the pack is the inclusion of two 1.0-liter water bladders. Tucked into the saddlebags the bladders serve as an integrated hydration system and as an added bonus they help to cushion your dog from the gear contained in the saddlebags and aid your dog in maintaining a cool body temperature! The bladders can be removed from the saddlebags for ease in filling and pouring water.
