The Salomon Men's Sense Ride 3 is ready-made to be your everyday high-mileage trail running shoe. It has generous cushioning a rockered-profile and all-terrain traction.

The breathable open mesh of the upper and single-layer construction provide a close-hugging fit cut down on potential hot spots and maximize breathability. A lightweight QuickLace system lets you dial in fit and a streamlined pocket in the tongue allows you tuck away any excess lacing.

A dual-density midsole cushions each step. An internal Endofit sleeve comfortably hugs the forefoot while a molded Ortholite sockliner enhances fit and provides additional cushioning. Flexible Profeel film in the forefoot maximizes efficiency. With a 27mm heel and 19mm forefoot the shoe has a moderate 8mm drop. A non-marking Contagrip rubber outsole delivers dynamic traction for varied surfaces.

The Salomon Men's Sense Ride 3 is available in men's full and half sizes and your choice of color options.

I feel like I’m wearing a grandpa shoe

Good ground protection. I personally really like the lacing system.

Dislikes

The tongue is long (compared to my other Salomons). and because of the lacing system you can’t re-lace it so the tongue doesn’t dig into your lower shin. I have to wear ankle length socks (which has fixed the issue for short distance <5 miles). The lacing system is so high it actually blocks access to tuck the lacing system. Seems like a funny oversight for a company like Salomon...and...They look like something my dad would buy.
