1. Traction - the tread on these shoes is great in my area where there is still light soft snow and some exposed trail, held well on uphill, downhill, and even terrain 2. Function - the performed well holding my foot in place on steep uphills and downhills (so steep I slid down and was on hands and knees at one point) 3. Stability - my feet were locked in place and did not move on uneven surfaces, thus promoting more muscle longevity by not having my foot and ankle to adapt so much to terrain 4. Protection - toe bumper and upper were protective but not cumbersome, it is surprising how some shoe makers are able to get the strength out of such low weight materials 5. Weight - light weight and fleet, does not feel like wearing a heavier trail runner and seem to be great for high alpine missions where there are several thousand feet of incline, lighter shoes make it easier to pick feet up for the 25,000 to 50,000 steps on a longer hike 6. Appearance - the colors are like a purple and red/coral color, very attractive and lively looking shoes

1. Fit - this is more personal to my foot , but the top of the tongue where the lace pocket is did hug my tendon at the bend of my ankle a bit too snug, and at like mile 9 or 10 of a 12 mile hike, I did notice pain in my tendon right at that lace pocket spot. Again, people with less bulky feet, I'm 6'4", 225 lbs, size 13 shoes, these might fit others perfectly that do not have as voluminous feet as I do.2. Cushion - the design on the shoes does seem to be more focused on the side of stability and performance and at my body size a little more give in the cushioning would have been great. Not so much like the bigger hokas give, but just a little more give would have been great.
