The boot's PU-coated leather and water-resistant synthetic upper provides a comfortable fit, and Active Support wings on the outside of the upper help to keep your foot securely in place. A waterproof/breathable ClimaSalomon Waterproof bootie keeps feet dry and a gusseted tongue further ensures protection against moisture and debris. For warmth in cold conditions, there's 200g 3M Thinsulate insulate built in, as well and a faux fur lining.
Underfoot, Salomon's lightweight but supportive ADV-C Chassis cradles your heel, protects your ankle from over articulating, and provides extra stability while still allowing forefoot flexibility for fluid maneuverability. An EnergyCell foam midsole maximizes comfort and provides energy return with each step. The molded sockliner features a 4mm layer of EVA foam for additional insulation and cushioning.
A cold-weather-specific Winter Contagrip rubber outsole is designed to maintain grip in freezing temperatures and provides good traction on varied terrain.
