The Sea to Summit Ascent Ac 1 offers more space than a traditional mummy bag, but still offers the thermal efficiency you need when the temperature drops. A wrap-around zipper make it deployable as a quilt in warmer weather, but in its standard sleeping bag configuration, the bag and its water-resistant down insulation is rated down to 25 degrees Fahrenheit.
Utilizing compressible and warm 750+ RDS-certified Ultra-Dry Down fill, the Ascent uses both horizontal and vertical baffles to keep the insulation from migrating and creating cold spots. Down feathers are renowned for their efficiency in retaining heat and compressibility, and despite advances in synthetic materials, continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. The one inherent weakness of down insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet, but this bag's Ultra-Dry Down fill performs differently. Ensuring consistent thermal performance, a hydrophobic treatment enables the insulation to stay dry longer and dry faster if it should become wet than traditional down insulation.
The bag has a protective 20D nylon shell and lining with soft-touch fabrication that provides next-to-skin comfort. A full length side zip, foot zip, and half side zip provide multiple ventilation options and allows the bag to be laid flat like a quilt. An oversized zipper draft tube uses anti-snag materials. A 3D insulated hood and neck draft collar trap warmth in the bag. An integrated pocket safely stores small valuables. An Ultra-Sil Compression Bag is included for compact storage.
The Sea to Summit Ascent Ac 1 sleeping bag is available in your choice of Regular (fits up to 6' 0") and Long (up to 6' 6") size options.
