Perfect for ultra-lightweight warm weather backpacking or for use as an insulating overbag in colder temperatures, the high-performance Sea to Summit Cinder Cd1 quilt utilizes compressible, water-resistant down to weigh just over a pound and pack down incredibly small.
The bag is insulated with premium 750+ Premium fill Ultra-Dry Down insulation. Renowned for their efficiency in retaining heat and compressible properties, the feathers and fibers of down have an incredibly soft, comfortable feel and, despite advances in synthetic materials, continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. The one weakness of down insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet, but the Cinder's insulation has been treated to add water-repellency, allow it to dry faster if it should become wet, and, most importantly, enable it to retain much of its insulating qualities even while wet. Sewn-through quilted construction keeps the insulation from migrating and causing cold spots. Lightweight, waterproof/breathable NanoShell exterior fabric further protects the insulation from the elements and a soft 20D nylon lining adds internal comfort.
A versatile design allows the Cinder to be used like a traditional blanket or pulled close to you and your sleeping pad (pad sold separately) by using the integrated QuiltLock system. An Ultra-Sil compression sack and storage sack are included.
The Sea to Summit Cinder Cd1 quilt is available in your choice of Regular (fits to 6') and Long (fits to 6' 4") size options.
