Description

An ultra-lightweight option for bolstering the performance of your sleeping bag (sold separately) or for stand-alone use as a minimalist warm-weather sleep solution, the Sea to Summit Thermolite Reactor Liner is a versatile addition to your gear closet.

The liner is constructed of hollow core fiber Thermolite fabric. It feels great next to skin and is more packable than fleece. When used as a true liner, it will increase the warmth of your sleeping bag by up to 14 degrees Fahrenheit (8 degrees Celsius). A mummy-shape is designed to maintain thermal efficiency and keep weight to a minimum (8.7 oz) but it also incorporates a footbox to ensure comfort.

The full dimensions of the Sea to Summit Thermolite Reactor Liner are 84” x 36” and it packs down to 3” x 5” in the included sil-nylon stuff sack.

  • Lighter weight, more packable than fleece
  • Adds up to 14 degrees F / 8 degrees C of warmth to a sleeping bag
  • Mummy shape with a box foot
  • Draw cord hood with mini cord lock
  • Packs into its own 3 in x 5 in sil nylon stuff sack

Compact liner and adds some warmth

Likes

The liner is compact and adds some warmth. It is very comfortable and also keep the sleeping bag clean

Dislikes

My sleeping bag is spoon shape instead of mummy. It would be great if the linear is also spoon shape.

Adds much appreciated warmth to cold NEPA weather

Likes

The Thermolite Reactor provides additional warm, and coziness, in a light weight east to stow package. I was a little skeptical at first due to how thin and lightweight it is, but it definitely added a solid 15 to 20 degrees to my 20 degree bag. It also re-stowed easier than I expected after removing from its bag the first time.

Dislikes

So far there is nothing that would prevent me from highly recommending this to anyone who camps or backpacks in the winter.

Thermolight Reactor Liner

Likes

Comfortable smooth fabric, packs up small. Leaving in sleeping bag does not effect bag’s packed size. Quite nice for the added warmth, and to help keep the inside of the bag clean.

Looks comfy and roomy

Likes

Have not used yet but appears much roomier than my previous liner. Nice draw string for securing around your head. Material feels soft.

Dislikes

Pack size is larger than expected.

No reason not to have, just in case

Likes

Very small and light. Unless in the middle of summer, I can't see a reason not to have this. I bought it for a trip to Yosemite. Sleeping bag was also bought at the same time. Having both new, I wasn't sure what to expect out of the bag and didn't want to chance a too cold to sleep well night on the trail. I did use for the first night, but ended up too hot. It definitely does add a decent amount of warmth. Worth keeping for fall/spring hikes.

Dislikes

None so far.

Great Liner

Likes

I have been reluctant to purchase this liner but having read several online reviews and talking with hikers who have this product, I decided to try one myself to supplement my current sleeping bag. I used the liner for several nights and it worked very well. I would recommend it.
