The North Face The One Bag is a one-of-a-kind modular sleeping system that delivers three options for temperatures ranging from 5 to 40 degrees. For insulation, this bag gives you the unique choice of utilizing water-resistant down, synthetic insulation, or both together!
The bag’s top layer features a 20D nylon shell with Heatseeker Pro synthetic insulation that is rated to 40 degrees. This versatile synthetic is 50% post-consumer recycled polyester and is excellent for warmer-weather camping.
A second layer employs 800 fill RDS-Certified ProDown insulation to serve as a 20 degree bag or as a quilt if fully unzipped. Traditional down, while providing one of the best warmth-to-weight ratios available for insulation, can fall short of its temperature rating if it becomes wet. The ProDown insulation has been coated with a hydrophobic polymer that makes it water-resistant and allows it to retain its loft and warmth longer than untreated down. A 20D nylon taffeta shell further protects the insulation.
When you combine the two layers into a single unit, you've got an all-season bag that is rated down to 5 degrees!
A large, fitted hood accommodates pillows and even lets you sleep with your arms over your head. At the other end of the bag, a vaulted footbox gives your feet room to move. An anti-compression layer on the back of the bag prevents the unwanted crushing of insulation.
Available in Regular and Long lengths, The North Face The One Bag includes a storage bag and a compression sack. The compression sack can condense your bag down for backpacking but the fleece interior also allows you to use this sack as a camp pillow.
