A high-performance pack from The North Face, a long-time backcountry innovator, the Women's Griffin 65 internal frame backpack provides over 3900 cubic inches of storage, has a dynamic self-equalizing suspension system, and incorporates numerous handy features for extended explorations.
Anticipating heavy loads, the pack's frame includes a single aluminum stay and a full PE framesheet. Weight is driven to the padded, swiveling hipbelt to ensure a free range of uninhibited movement and effective load distribution. The patented Dyno Carry System allows you to adjust the height of the backpanel while on the go and the entire system provides reactive adjustability so can concentrate on the trail ahead. The padded FlashDry backpanel adds cushioning and maximizes breathability. Load-lifter straps and an adjustable sternum strap allow for fit fine-tuning. To ensure a proper fit, the pack comes in two sizes. The Xsmall/Small size best fits 13"-18" torso lengths and the Medium/Large best fits 15"-20" torsos.
The top-loading pack's main compartment offers nearly 4000 cubic inches of storage. A wrap-around zipper enables you to gain access to the pack without having to remove the lid and also makes packing and unpacking that much easier. When additional protection and storage aren't need, the top lid can be detached entirely. A stand-out feature is the large zippered front pocket that can also be removed and used as a stand-alone summit pack. Dubbed the "Flying Squirrel", the pack is equipped with its own breathable shoulder straps for ease of carry on quick missions.
Other features include a large front stretch pocket, stretch side pockets, a sternum strap buckle that doubles as a safety whistle, reflective webbing, and external gear lash attachment points. An internal sleeve makes the pack hydration compatible (hydration system not included).
