Ideal for top-of-the-mountain or alpine conditions, winter camping, or weigh-conscious backpackers, the innovative Big Agnes TwisterCane Bio Foam closed-cell sleeping pad weighs just 14 ounces while serving as a firm, protective barrier against the cold ground. Best of all, its produced from an environmentally-friendly, renewable sugarcane-based EVA foam!
The full dimensions of the rectangular pad are 20" x 72", and it has a 0.5" thickness. Its rolled dimensions are 5" x 20". A dual-layer EVA foam design provides "dimples up" or "dimples down" options depending on which side you find most comfortable to sleep on. Those dimples help to maximize warmth by trapping body heat to enhance thermal performance. The material itself utilizes sugarcane biomass produced in a carbon-negative process that meets Proforest standard for environmental accountability.
NOTE: The pad's 1.7 R-Value makes it most suitable for warm weather if used on its own. Combine the pad with an inflatable or self-inflating pad (both sold separately) to maximize warmth and comfort in the coldest of conditions.
