A workhorse for sloppy, wet conditions, the Hoka One One Women's Speedgoat 5 Mid GTX takes all the comfort and grip of the original and adds a waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX membrane for weather protection.
Description
- Durable upper with waterproof protection to handle any trails: On the outside, the shoe's double-layer jacquard mesh provides abrasion resistance. The inner GORE-TEX membrane is completely waterproof even as you splash through streams and puddles while still offering breathability when you turn up the heat.
- Plenty of support for long trail miles: Hoka's signature protective and cushioned midsole uses compression molded EVA to make sure your feet stay comfortable even on high mileage days.
- Trail-tested design maximizes your comfort: Created with input from ultramarathoner Karl Meltzer, the Speedgoat borrows from running shoe design for a lightweight build that still stands up to the rigors of long-distance hiking. The gusseted tongue has lay-flat construction to prevent any chafing or hot spots while keeping out debris. The flexible mid-height collar offers ankle support and has a soft heel tab to avoid irritating the Achilles. A foot-cradling heel bolster and rubber toe cap cushion against trail hazards so you can keep that footsore feeling at bay.
- Confident traction and grip: Dependable Vibram Megagrip rubber and the traction lug design help you feel like you can stick to rocks, roots and more, even in wet or slippery conditions.
