Description
With a 25 degree temperature rating, the Marmot Women's Angel Fire sleeping bag is built for cool-to-mild weather backpacking. It delivers reliable down-insulated performance and its relaxed mummy cut strikes a balance between weight, comfort, and thermal efficiency for backpackers and campers.
The bag is insulated with 650+ fill down. Fill power measures the loft, or "fluffiness," of down insulation and Marmot goes to great lengths to guarantee the 650+ certification with a battery of in-house and external verifications. Renowned for their efficiency in retaining heat and compressible properties, the feathers and fibers of down have an incredibly soft, comfortable feel and, despite advances in synthetic materials, continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. The one weakness of down insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet, but Marmot combats this by applying a Down Defender water repellent treatment that allows the down to stay dry longer, maintain loft, and dry faster than untreated down. Most importantly, it retains its ability to keep you warm even if damp or wet. The bag's shell and lining are made from recycled nylon fabrics.
The bag's unique zipper design helps you get a comfortable night's sleep in the backcountry. Dual side zippers at the top provide a blanket-like feel that lets you open it up on warmer nights or snug everything closed for maximum warmth. A separate zipper on the foot box can be opened for more breathability and foot space. An ergonomic baffled hood with drawcord adjustability and a draft tube at the collar help to reduce heat loss and to keep cold air from entering through the top of the bag. Sewn-through baffles ensure that insulation is evenly distributed throughout the bag and eliminate cold spots. An integrated stash pocket provides a handy storage option for keys, lip balm and other small items.
The Marmot Women's Angel Fire sleeping bag is available in Regular (fits up to 5' 6") and Long (fits up to 6' 0") lengths. A stuff sack and a storage sack are included.
