Depending on conditions and how hard they are pushing sometimes all trail runners really need is a barrier from the wind. The full-zip Montane Women's Featherlite Trail Jacket delivers that very protection and does so at a weight of just 3 ounces!
The jacket's 20D Wind Barrier Dynamic nylon mini ripstop fabric keeps cold air from reaching its interior but because of being incredibly lightweight and highly breathable it doesn't add bulk or lead to you overheating. The full-length zipper makes the jacket easy to take on and off and serves as a venting option if temperatures really heat up. Articulated sleeves keep the jacket from riding up and ensure a fit that doesn't inhibit movement.
Other features include elastic cuffs under arm vents a drop hem a microfleece-lined chin guard thumb loops reflectivity and a zippered chest pocket. The pocket has an integrated cord port to allow for discreet protected use of earbuds and the pocket also doubles as a stuff sack for the jacket.
