Catering to adventurers who are looking for value-packed versatility, the Osprey Farpoint 55 offers travel-friendly features in a trek-worthy backpack. This pack has a capable load-bearing suspension system and a comfortable, adjustable fit you'd expect from Osprey.

Osprey has equipped the pack with a fully-featured suspension system, using a LightWire frame and Atilon framesheet to grant strength, stability and load transfer. The mesh-covered ridged foam backpanel allows for maximum ventilation while keeping the load close to the body. Available in one size, the torso length of the pack adjusts to fit torsos ranging from 18 to 22 inches. The adjustable hipbelt, sliding sternum strap, and load-lifter straps allow you to fine-tune fit with on-the-go adjustments. When checking the Farpoint 55 at the airport or the train station, you can safely tuck the harness and hipbelt behind an integrated zippered security panel to ensure that your pack stows safely.

The main packbag is accessed by a wide-opening front panel zipper. Internal compression straps allow you to safely secure contents. A large, zippered mesh pocket on the inside of the front panel and a smaller one on the side are ideal for separating clothes and gear. The zipper sliders on the main compartment are lockable (lock sold separately). Front compression straps cinch down the load for a secure carry, and gear loops let you attach other items when needed. You can easily maneuver the pack using the padded side and top grab handles.

The Farpoint 55 includes the Farpoint/Fairview Daypack, a 15 liter pack that can be detached for use around town or on shorter hikes. Integrated shoulder straps and a padded backpanel provide stability and comfort. An adjustable sternum strap further enhances fit. The day pack has zippered panel access with an internal organization pocket. The main compartment zipper is lockable. An internal sleeve makes the day pack hydration system (not included) compatible and doubles as a laptop sleeve (fits laptops up to 16"). Dual stretch side pockets and a zippered slash offer additional storage options. The pack has clips and attachment points for either a front carry or attached to the main pack's panel.

The Osprey Farpoint 55 convertible travel pack is available in your choice of colors. Measuring 22" x 14" x 9" with the daypack removed and carried as a personal item, the pack fits in most airline overhead compartments, but always check with your flight provider to confirm their carry-on policy.
