As a nod to a pack-building history that is now well over 40 years old, Osprey reintroduces one of its original designs with classic aesthetics in a sustainability-focused update. The Heritage Scarab is a tough as nails 30 liter daypack that employs Osprey's signature StraightJacket compression to keep contents secure.
While leaving the nostalgic look and feel of the pack intact, Osprey did equip it with some modernized carry features including a mesh-covered EVA foam backpanel and harness. A padded hipbelt adds in load stabilization and can be stowed away when not needed. An adjustable sternum strap helps to dial in fit.
A large U-shaped zipper provides wide open access to the 1800+ cubic inch main compartment. Horizontal compression straps and stabilizing side wings help to cinch down contents to their smallest (and safest) packed size. An external zippered pocket stows small items, and an interior sleeve can accommodate a 15" laptop or a hydration reservoir.
