The high-performance Outdoor Research Men's Helium AscentShell Jacket builds off of the celebrated heritage of the ultra-lightweight, award-winning Helium Jacket but equips it with cutting-edge air-permeable technology to deliver durable waterproof/breathable performance in all 4 seasons.
The 3-layer jacket's AscentShell Pertex Shield Air Diamond Fuse 30D ripstop nylon fabric has an ultra-lightweight tricot backer. This construction combines with taped seams to ensure fully waterproof protection with enhanced breathability to keep you from overheating or wetting out from the inside during high aerobic activities. Despite the lightweight construction, the fabric offers excellent long-term durability. Premium YKK Aquaguard zippers further banish moisture to keep you dry. An adjustable helmet-compatible hood with a shapeable wire brim extend weatherproof protection without blocking visibility. Outdoor Research's Dynamic Reach design grants a full range of motion without having the jacket ride up.
Other features include a two-way full-length front zipper, an elastic drawcord hem, adjustable wrist cuffs, external and internal chest pockets, internal mesh stash pockets, and zippered hand pockets set high to provide access even if you're wearing a hipbelt or carrying a pack.
