A perennial award-winner, the classic Outdoor Research Seattle Sombrero is the most recognizable rain hat in the outdoors. Even in the worst of rainstorms, it keeps your head dry and, providing UPF 50+ protection, it makes a great sun hat too!
Employing bluesign-approved GORE-TEX nylon fabric and fully-taped seams, the hat is waterproof and wind-resistant. The full-coverage brim provides a wide shelf, so rain runs off well away from your face and body. It is wider at the back to offer extended coverage for your neck. The brim has a foam-stiffened interior which gives it shape but also makes the hat floatable which comes in handy if you lose it while paddling. An integrated removable chin cord helps to keep that from happening.
