The exterior of the jacket is constructed of an ultra-lightweight wind- and water-resistant 10D nylon fabric. Insulation is provided by high-performance 800-fill down. Renowned for their compressible properties and efficiency in providing insulation the feathers and fibers of down have an incredibly soft comfortable feel and continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. Due to the high loft and compressibility of down the jacket can even be packed into its own pocket and easily stowed in a pack. An elastic drawcord hem and low-profile elastic cuffs enhance fit and help to keep out the cold.
