Built specifically for racing and chasing course records in mud and on soft ground, the minimalist Salomon S/Lab Pulsar SG trail running shoe tips the scales at just 14 ounces per pair! Highly-breathable and providing a sock-like fit, the shoe feels like it is barely there but there is no mistaking the precision performance it delivers.
The welded Matryx upper is a tightly-woven mesh that prevents debris from getting in the shoe while still maximizing breathability. Coupled with an ultra-lightweight QuickLace system, this construction provides a close, glove-like fit for dynamic performance.
A curved midsole encourages quick turnover and promotes an efficient stride. Lightweight, responsive, foot-mapped Energy Surge foam uses a combination of EVA and Olefin to deliver cushioning and energy return. Flexible Profeel film in the forefoot dampens the impact on rocks or sharp surfaces and maximizes efficiency. A molded EVA sockliner further enhances fit and comfort without adding excess bulk or weight.
A "toothy" Mud Contagrip rubber outsole has deep lugs and utilizes a grippy compound to keep you upright even in sloppy, challenging conditions.
With a 27.5mm heel and a 21.5mm forefoot, the shoe has a 6mm drop. It weighs in at roughly 14 ounces per pair (varies by size).
