The Salomon Women's Wayfarer Pants are hugely popular with hikers and backpackers and it's easy to see why. They're super soft but also highly durable, shrugging off abrasion and providing lightweight breathable, weather-and-wind-resistant performance.
Description
- Durable protection and freedom of movement for days on the trail:: Recycled 4-way stretch fabric feels really comfortable but is still plenty tough enough to hold up to the wear and tear of hiking. Though not fully waterproof, the DWR-treated fabric does an excellent job of protecting against light precipitation and blocking wind. The material also offers breathability and wicks moisture so you can avoid overheating.
- Thoughtful construction to ensure a proper fit:: Articulation in the legs creates a pre-formed bend at the knees so movement is completely unrestricted. A half-elasticated waistband offers a comfortable fit and wide belt loops allow you to pair the pants with most any belt (belt not included) to further dial in fit. Elastic adjustments at the cuffs allows you to choose between a loose or close hug at the ankles.
- Pockets for trail day essentials:: The pants have two roomy front pockets to warm your hands or stash anything you want to keep in easy reach. An additional front zippered leg pocket is a great place to stow your phone, keys, or other valuables.
How do they fit?
Salomon Women's Wayfarer Pants have an active fit that anticipates movement and is a nice balance between fitting not too tight, but not too loose. They are best worn as stand-alones but allow you to pull a pair of protective weatherproof shell pants over top in really nasty weather.
