The jacket's fabric has a PFC-free DWR treatment and effectively wards off precipitation while still providing excellent breathability. In fact, it far exceeds the breathability and waterproof standards required by the esteemed Ultra Tour Du Mont Blanc (UTMB). Fully-taped seams bolster weather-protection and underarm vents maximize breathability even if you are wearing a pack. A trademarked TunnelEffect hood promotes cooling airflow without jeopardizing weather protection. Unique sleeve cuffs can serve as minimalist "mitts" when conditions call for extra protection and a stowable design allows them to tuck away cleanly when not needed. When not being worn, the jacket stows compactly inside its interior chest pocket.
