Description

Room to spread your toes for comfort and agility: The roomy fit of the shoe uses Altra's original FootShape design, which offers the most space of their fit options. Designed to contour to your actual foot shape, the broader cut lets your big toe to remain in a straight position while allowing your other toes to spread naturally, reducing the risk for cramped toes, blisters, and other painful conditions that often plague hikers.
Highly cushioned for long-distance comfort: Designed for maximal cushioning, the Olympus has a plush compression molded EVA foam midsole that helps keep your feet from feeling fatigue over long miles.
Durable upper with waterproof protection to handle any trails: The shoe has a constructed collar for a secure, stable fit around the ankle, and a leather upper to bolster durability over longer excursions. The GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane is completely waterproof even as you splash through streams and puddles while still offering breathability for all-day comfort.
Non-slip grip for confident traction: Whether you're on wet or dry trails, the Vibram Megagrip rubber outsole offers excellent traction. This sturdy compound performs well on varied terrain and has the durability to last during high-mileage adventures.
Even underfoot platform from front to back: With a 33mm stack height that puts your heel and forefoot at the same distance from the ground, the Balanced Cushioning platform encourages a natural stride rather than elevating the heel or manipulating foot position. This is meant to promote better alignment and a more natural posture while on the move which in turn lessens impact.

Sold in pairs, the Men's Olympus 6 Hike Low GTX hiking shoe is available in a standard width and men's full and half sizes. Due to the FootShape design the fit may feel roomier than your average running shoe but the length is consistent with standard sizing.
