Amazing Service

Providing soft moderate-to-high cushioning, responsive performance, and confident traction, the Altra Running Men's Timp 1.5 trail running shoe checks all the boxes for long-distance running and everyday trail training.

Description

Providing soft moderate-to-high cushioning responsive performance and confident traction the Altra Running Men's Timp 1.5 trail running shoe checks all the boxes for long-distance running and everyday trail training.

As with all Altra Running shoes the Timp 1.5 has a FootShape toe box that differs greatly from the aggressive taper of traditional running shoes. This design lets your big toe remain in a straight position while allowing your other toes to spread naturally. This broader cut reduces the risk of bunions hammer toes and plantar fasciitis. The shoe also utilizes a Zero Drop platform (height of the heel and the forefront are the same) that encourages a natural stride rather than elevating the heel or manipulating foot position. This is meant to promote better alignment and a more natural posture while on the move which in turn lessens impact.

A quick-drying upper is constructed of multi-directional mesh so you enjoy flexibility breathability and a forgiving fit. It has enhanced durability at the toe and heel and strategic overlays bolster overall durability and enhance midfoot supportiveness. An integrated 4-point GaiterTrap allows for the easy attachment of Altra gaiters (sold separately). A deep EVA foam midsole delivers comfort while still providing responsiveness.

The shoe has a stack height of 29 mm and weighs in at just over 1 pound 5 ounces per pair. The DuraTread rubber outsole with canted TrailClaw metatarsal lugs provides reliable traction on varied terrain.

Sold in pairs and your choice of color options the Altra Running Men's Timp 1.5 trail running shoe is available in men's full and half sizes.

Try em ull like em

Likes

Get gritty while running or just roaming thru the grit. The bozo toe shape gives extra room for the itty bitties and the big one especially after they have swollen from the happy abuse through pushing on or off trails.

Dislikes

Old school observation so may have some wondering: not a dislike but the Timp looks like a flat Earthshoe.

A great shoe for wide feet

Likes

The fit is great for my wide feet. 90% of the lightweight hikers I try on are uncomfortable. I use the Timp 1.5 basically for walking, hiking and bushwhacking. Very comfortable. This the second pair I've bought of the Timp 1.5 and I couldn't be happier.

Dislikes

Not really a "dislike" however I usually wear a size 10.5 but the 11 fits best.

So far so good

Likes

Well cushioned. Like the roomy toe box. The outsole is not as grippy as some of my other trail runners. But for normal dryish trails it’s fine. The upper mesh is thin and fragile. Again, compared to the Speedcross (GTX) it seems paper thin. It obviously vents better for hot weather. We’ll see how it holds up. I have the blue/lime color which look great compared to some of the ridiculous colors of some other brands.

Dislikes

None so far.
