The Big Agnes Blacktail 3 Hotel offers ample protected storage for backpacking or basecamp adventures with an oversized vestibule that shelters gear, bikes, or even your pup! The spacious design balances durability and weight for a versatile all-around tent.

Description

Durable and spacious design with plenty of vestibule space: The Blacktail 3 Hotel's defining feature is the large side vestibule that offers 28 square feet of storage space. A second smaller vestibule adds an additional nine square feet of covered storage. Inside the tent, pre-bent poles help create plenty of headroom with a peak height of 44 inches. Two doors offer easy access to either side.
Confident weather protection season after season: The rainfly and tent floor use a tough 75D recycled polyester taffeta with a waterproof polyurethane coating to keep you protected from the weather. All seams are taped with waterproof, solvent-free polyurethane tape. Two roof vents increase air circulation and dual zippers on the rainfly doors can be used as vents to help control moisture in damp conditions.
Organize and stash your gear: Inside the tent, multiple pockets help you stash necessary gear off the floor but still close at hand. Loops on the interior can be used to secure lights or a gear loft (sold separately).
Fast and intuitive setup: Color-coded webbing and buckles take the guesswork out of setup. The TipLok Tent Buckle corners streamline setup by combing three functions--securing the pole tips, attaching and tensioning the rainfly, and providing a stake-out loop. If you're using the custom-fit footprint (sold separately), you can set up the rainfly, poles, and the footprint to create a tarp-style shelter or to provide a dry area in which to erect the tent.

The Big Agnes Blacktail 3 Hotel has a trail weight of 6 pounds, 13 ounces and packs down to 22" x 7" in its included stuff sack. To extend the life of your tent and protect the floor from sharp rocks and roots, Big Agnes recommends using the Blacktail 3 Footprint (sold separately).
