Amazing Service

Because you deserve it.

A feature-rich option for 3-season camping, the six-person Big Agnes Bunk House 6 offers a ton of internal storage, excellent overhead clearance, and integrated external space for storage or campsite lounging.

Description

A feature-rich option for 3-season camping, the six-person Big Agnes Bunk House 6 offers a ton of internal storage, excellent overhead clearance, and integrated external space for storage or campsite lounging.

Eighty-three square feet of interior space provides the tent with elbow room for up to 6 inhabitants. Two large doors make it easy to come and go and two integrated vestibules combine to provide 56 square feet of external storage space. The front vestibule alone offers 37 square feet of coverage and its awning-style door can be configured to convert the front of the tent to a sunshade.

Removable corner bin pockets and additional internal mesh pockets provide dedicated places to stash clothes and gear. Two internal media pockets enable headphone/ear bud cord routing from phones or other devices. Integrated gear loft loops offer a connection point for the Big Agnes Large Trapezoid Gear Loft (sold separately).

Lightweight DAC aluminum poles lend freestanding structure to the tent. Color-coded pole ends, grommet webbing, and buckles make it easy to attach the poles to the clips and sleeves of the tent body. Sturdy aluminum hook stakes are included to further secure the pitch of the freestanding tent.

Coated with 1500mm waterproof polyurethane, the polyester floor and rainfly are extremely durable. All of the tent's seams are seal-taped to further protect the tent from the elements. Mesh on the tent’s ceiling and sidewalls maximize cross ventilation and promote air circulation to fight condensation build-up. The Big Agnes Bunk House 6 Footprint (sold separately) can be used to bolster protection from mud, ground water, and sharp objects like rocks, exposed roots and pine needles.

In warm temperatures and clear conditions, the tent can also be pitched as a sun shelter. Simply use the rainfly, the poles, and the included webbing harness without the tent body and enjoy maximum breathability!

  • Two large doors and two vestibules
  • Oversized, pole-supported front vestibule is big enough for extra gear or your camp chairs
  • Awning-style door on the front vestibule can be staked out as a sunshade
  • Two large smooth-opening doors featuring widows with two closure options: mesh only for ventilation or zip up the polyester layer for complete closure
  • Quick Stash door keeper on tent body doors makes stowing unzipped doors quick and easy
  • Shelter Mode set up option creates a large, open shelter that is an ideal shady spot for everyone to hang out under during hot days
  • Shelter Mode set up requires fly, poles and included webbing harness; can also be set up using the Bunk House 6 Footprint (sold separately) in place of webbing harness
  • Removable corner bin pockets for stashing all sorts of sundries
  • Extra large welcome mat on front door for keeping dirty shoes out of your tent
  • Storm flaps on the vestibule base zippers add extra fortification from the elements

Excellent Car Camping Tent

Likes

Spacious if you're not sleeping 6 people Lots of pockets and loops Very easy to set up and take down Welcome mat We've only used this tent a couple of times but it has been a very luxurious experience each time. It's just me and my gf, so we have tons of extra room. We can stand up to get dressed (special request from gf when tent shopping). I have 2 Exped Mega Mats we lash together (I already had one from my single days and it was cheaper to buy another one instead of getting the double mat) and they fit nicely in the tent with enough space on each side to get around. Despite the size of this tent, I can actually set it up and take it down entirely by myself (we once used a 12 person Wenzel tent that took at least 2 people but 4 of us were working on it together to get it up). The welcome mat makes identification of the front super easy. I also really like the color coding of the straps which makes identifying the front of the rainfly super easy as well. The bag makes it easy to haul around, the rainfly and tent itself both stuff into separate sides of the bag. There is a space for tent poles and a zipper pouch for the tent stakes. While nothing ever goes back into place as nicely as when they ship it to you, everything still fits and it wasn't a horrible experience getting everything back in. The rainfly is one of my favorite parts! I love the huge front vestibule! Our 65qt cooler fits nicely in the side of the vestibule without getting in the way. We stayed 4 nights in it in Yellowstone near the end of the camping season and had zero problems. It rained and we were dry. Thus far I have never fought the zippers or anything.

Dislikes

I'm torn between saying nothing and that perhaps the floor could be slightly tougher. We did get a lot of holes in it our first time using it, but I think it would have been avoided had the footprint been underneath (it was very rocky). The only other thing is very, very small. There has been a little bit of difficulty when sliding the long poles through the sleeves when you get to the top of the tent. They seem to get caught up on something, but being gentle and patient will eventually work it through past the spot and then it's smooth sailing again. Certainly not a reason to pass up this tent!

Great Family Tent

Likes

This tent is well built, from the seams, mesh, zipper, and the door mat. This tent checked all the boxes for our needs and more. Comfortably had a queen sized air mattress as well as two kids sleeping pads with plenty of room for gear and to stand up to change.

Dislikes

The only thing that you could possibly not like with this tent is the color. It's bright but that's not always a bad thing.

Enough space for large family

Likes

This tent is large enough to be used by large families. The ceiling of the tent is all made of mesh material, so it is not only cool in summer, but it is also nice to see the sky. In addition, the front and rear doors are made of mesh and regular cloth, so air circulation can be performed according to the choice.

Dislikes

I don't know if the ceiling is all mesh material, but there is no place to circulate air in the rainfly. And there is a wish for Vestibule to be a little wider. The stakes are very light, so it has the advantage of carrying it, but it is likely to be broken easily.
