It's a great tent, the poles, the fly, the whole package is awesome. I've had my eye on one of these since they first came out with the HV model. I was going to get the UL1, but I'm sorta husky and I may have a friend with me from time to time....so I got this. I love the olive green, it's earthtone- part of my LNT practices. I wasn't sure I wanted a bright orange and white tent. Great price for one of the best tents out there right now- thanks Enwild!!!!

So far, if I had one complaint....it's the stakes that come with the tent. They look like they would collect a lot of dirt and make a huge mess...I'm planning on replacing them with some Easton pegs or some MSR groundhog stakes, and just keep the provided ones as backups. The footprint is a bit overpriced.....but I like to use a piece of Tyvek as a ground sheet....no biggie.

As lightweight as it gets without sacrificing comfort. Easy to setup. Durable enough as long as you take care of your stuff.

As most of you already know, in backpacking tents = 2 people very tight and snuggling, or 1 person and their gear. This applies to the Copper Spur HV UL2 as well, but, I knew that before I bought. One minor complaint is that Big Agnes ships these tents with 8 stakes, which is what is needed to stake out the tent. They also include 4 tie outs on the fly, but, no stakes for that. Come on Big Agnes how much would it really cost to include the 4 stakes?

As someone getting more seriously into backpacking, this tent was exactly what I was looking for. Easy to set up, light weight, and reliable. I've been in hot weather, thunderstorms, heavy rain, and some pretty gusty wind since getting this tent and have been so impressed by how it has held up.
Dislikes
Nothing! Might be nice if there was a footprint that came with it, though.

Comfort and lightweight tent for two people

Two large double doors, amazing headroom, 100% balance of space, weight and comfort. I also like the bright and cheery orange color of this tent. Very ease of set-up, color-coded pole, free standing design. I think the Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL2 is a great choice for long distance multi-day backpacking trips for two people!

This is the first high quality backpacking tent I have purchased and it is amazing. My first time hiking with this tent I had to set up in the dark for the first time setting it up and I was able to get the tent set up relatively quickly that night. There was a torrential downpour in the middle of the night and into the morning, and not a drop of water got in the tent during the rain; the floor of the tent felt moist but not enough for water build up or for gear to get wet. Favorite attributes: - Extremely lightweight - Easy set up and tear down - Great water proofing
Dislikes
- Rainfly zipper gets caught when wet - Material is thin enough on the bottom that you can feel some moisture from the ground when it is very wet - Footprint is sold separately for $70
